Welcome to the blog of Advanced Ceramic Engineering Ltd, or ACE, a leading company based in Northern Ireland with over 40 years of experience in the production and design of precision and technical ceramics. Our company specializes in alumina bodies for high grade and purity alumina ceramics, also known as advanced, high-tech, or engineered ceramics. We offer a wide range of alumina components UK-wide, and we are proud to say that we can custom manufacture our products to meet your specific requirements.
At ACE, we understand that every industry and application has unique needs and challenges. That’s why we offer custom manufacturing services for our alumina components, tailoring our products to meet your specific requirements. Our range of alumina materials has been carefully developed to suit diverse service conditions required by various industries such as electronics, aerospace, chemical processing, and high-tech industries like vacuum and semi-conductor, pump and valve, lasers and medical, and chemical and wear applications.
The use of precision and technical ceramics has drastically increased in recent years due to their exceptional properties and performance. These ceramics offer high strength, hardness, superior electrical and thermal insulation, corrosion and wear resistance, and biocompatibility, making them ideal for use in various critical applications. As a result, the demand for custom-made alumina components has also risen, and here at ACE, we are proud to meet that demand with our expertise and experience.
Our company was formed in 2002, following the closure of the former Wade/Seagoe Ceramics plant in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. Most of our employees are ex-Seagoe, with some having over 40 years of experience in the production and design of precision and technical ceramics. At ACE, we have combined the decades of tried and trusted methods with the latest innovations and an experienced workforce, making us a very reputable and ‘cutting edge’ company in the field of precision and technical ceramics.
One of the key factors that set us apart from our competitors is our custom manufacturing services. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and specifications, allowing us to tailor our products and processes to meet their unique requirements. Our production process begins with raw milled alumina, which is then isostatically pressed, green machined, sintered, and diamond ground to produce high-quality alumina components.
Our custom manufacturing services enable us to produce alumina components in different shapes, sizes, and designs, meeting the specifications and requirements of each client. We have the capabilities
